We will introduce a case where a direct current fluctuating magnetic field was reduced to less than 1/100 using an active magnetic field canceller!

We would like to introduce a case study on countermeasures against DC magnetic field interference for scanning electron microscopes (SEM). For the SEM installed in a demonstration room within an office building, the magnetic field effects caused by nearby railway lines were reduced using an active magnetic field canceller, improving the environment. [Example] Active Vibration Isolation Measures for LCD Substrate Inspection Equipment

Measures taken with the air servo active vibration isolation system! A good vibration environment has been established across all frequency ranges.

We would like to introduce a case study on active vibration isolation measures for liquid crystal substrate inspection equipment. During the installation of a large liquid crystal substrate inspection device (length measuring machine), a preliminary survey of the vibration environment of the installation floor revealed that it exceeded the allowable limits. This length measuring machine observes the line width of patterns optically and is sensitive to the vibration environment, so we implemented measures using an air servo active vibration isolation device. After the active vibration isolation measures were taken, we cleared the vibration allowable limits of the device and were able to establish a good vibration environment across all frequency ranges. Vibration Control Device TMD [Example] Vibration Control Measures for Horizontal Vibration of the Pencil Building

Reduce the vibration acceleration level at the building's natural frequency to 1/2 or less! Examples of measures against perceptible vibrations caused by wind.

We will introduce a case study of vibration control measures for the Pencil Building's horizontal vibrations. In a newly constructed office building, perceptible vibrations due to wind sway were occurring, and as a countermeasure, a TMD (Tuned Mass Damper) was installed on the roof to reduce the building's lateral sway. By installing the TMD, the vibration acceleration levels at the building's natural frequency were reduced by more than 6 dB (to less than half) in both the X and Y directions. Additionally, the building's damping ratio improved from 1% to 12%, significantly shortening the time until the vibrations converged. An air conditioning outdoor unit installed on the rooftop of an office building was generating solid noise on the floor directly below when it entered defrost mode. Although the outdoor unit was equipped with rubber pads for vibration isolation, the performance of the rubber pads was insufficient, allowing vibrations from the outdoor unit to be transmitted to the building structure, causing solid noise on the floor below. As a countermeasure, we proposed replacing it with a spring vibration isolation device. We would like to introduce a case study on measures taken to address perceptible vibrations caused by the operation of a ceiling-mounted air conditioning indoor unit. In an existing 12th-floor clinic, perceptible vibrations were occurring on the examination room desk due to the operation of the ceiling-mounted air conditioning indoor unit below. In response to these vibrations, a measure was implemented to replace the existing vibration-damping rubber of the air conditioning unit with a higher-performance spring vibration isolation system, resulting in a reduction of desk vibrations.
