DuoGuard method (hybrid sacrificial anode material)

A new hybrid repair method that combines the characteristics of two effective approaches for preventing salt damage in concrete structures: external power supply type cathodic protection and impressed current anode method.

Effective measures against salt damage can be implemented through two phases: the external power supply phase (de-salting and re-alkalization) for improving the environment around the rebar, and the electrolytic anode phase that utilizes the differences in ionization tendencies of zinc and iron to long-term suppress rebar corrosion.

Titanium rod internal insertion anode method (external power supply method)

Corrosion protection for temporary scaffolding and difficult-to-access areas can be carried out according to site conditions.

The titanium rod internal insertion anode method is an external power supply electrochemical corrosion protection method that involves inserting and installing a rod-shaped titanium anode into the interior of concrete from the surface. Since the anode is installed inside the structure, there are no limitations on the construction surface, allowing for the anode to be inserted and installed from any direction to implement electrochemical corrosion protection. It is suitable for areas where temporary scaffolding is difficult or where the construction surface is limited, as well as for partial corrosion protection at bridge girder ends and similar locations.
