Japan Distribution Management Support Organization Co., Ltd. will exhibit the "Origin Certification Service" called "Proof of Origin" at the agricultural and livestock exhibition "Agriculture WEEK (commonly known as J-AGRII)" held at Makuhari Messe. "Proof of Origin" is expected to solve the problem of counterfeit Japanese sake that has been occurring frequently overseas in recent years. We aim to protect the value of Japanese sake brands both domestically and internationally and to further increase the number of sake fans.

On June 10, the Japan Distribution Management Support Organization conducted a "Japanese sake origin certification" using a service that applies technology used in diamond origin certification. As a result, we report that we were able to pinpoint the exact origin of "which sake brewery it was produced in." This certification was conducted voluntarily by our company to demonstrate the technology. This certification uses our "scientific" origin certification service, "Origin Seal," to identify the precise origin of "which sake brewery it was produced in." Japanese sake is said to be more difficult to certify compared to wine because its raw materials are only "water" and "rice." In this context, we conducted an analysis at the molecular level of water and rice to determine whether they matched the original (authentic) product. It enables the prevention and verification of origin fraud for agricultural products that were manufactured overseas from stolen seedlings or seeds and are being disguised as "Made in Japan," thus protecting the brand and profits of Japan's agricultural, forestry, and fishery products.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries aims to increase the export value of agricultural, forestry, and fishery products and food to 2 trillion yen by 2025 and 5 trillion yen by 2030, and is implementing measures to expand exports. However, there are challenges such as significant costs incurred domestically due to complaints from export destinations that cannot identify the causes. This site aggregates data on children's cafeterias listed by various organizations, allowing users to efficiently search for children's cafeterias beyond the boundaries of individual organizations. At the same time, it functions as a matching site that connects producers in agriculture and fisheries who struggle with food waste to operators of children's cafeterias seeking ingredients, aiming to reduce food loss and alleviate the burden of ingredient donations. This site is not just a collection of links to children's cafeterias. It provides a personal page that allows both donors and operators of children's cafeterias to log in and use the site, enabling quick matching of non-monetary donations between donors and operators. Recently, the Japan Fruit Export Promotion Council's initiative to establish a brand for Japanese fruits has been adopted as part of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries' subsidy project for "Strengthening Support for Overseas Market Development by Sector and Theme."
