Our company will hold a seminar titled "Current Status of Walkable City Development in Shibuya Ward." A large-scale redevelopment, touted as a once-in-a-century project, is underway around Shibuya Station. The concept for this development began around the year 2000, just before the underground construction of the Tokyu Toyoko Line and the mutual direct operation with the Fukutoshin Line. Active discussions were held in a committee comprising academic experts, railway operators, government officials, and local residents, leading to the formulation of the initial plan, "Guide Plan 21," in 2003. It has been over 20 years since then. In the past decade, high-rise buildings have been completed one after another due to redevelopment, visibly changing Shibuya day by day. This time, we will focus not only on building projects but also on Shibuya's urban development aimed at creating a "human-centered" and "walkable" city, detailing how Shibuya will transform in the future. [Seminar Details] ■ Date and Time: September 2 (Monday) 9:30 - 11:30 (Doors open at 9:00) ■ Venue: JPI Conference Square ■ Speaker: Shibuya Ward Urban Development Promotion Department, Shibuya Station Central Five District Section Chief Katsuya Yukihiro *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationOur company will hold a seminar on the initiative to connect "150 trillion yen of GX investment from both public and private sectors to economic growth." A stable supply of energy is a prerequisite for supporting Japan's industries and our daily lives. Due to the prolonged effects of deflation and currency depreciation, Japan's GDP has fallen to the 4th position in the world, and with a decreasing labor force, we believe that the key to revitalizing the Japanese economy lies solely in strengthening industrial competitiveness through the promotion of GX. In this context, the government's issuance of GX transition bonds is expected to significantly contribute to further advancing energy-saving technologies, which Japan has traditionally excelled in, and to the development of decarbonized fuels that Japan can lead globally. Therefore, in this lecture, we will return to the fundamental principles of energy, S + 3E, and elaborate on the measures necessary for Japan to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 and regain its industrial competitiveness. [Seminar Details] ■ Date and Time: August 5 (Monday) 16:30-18:30 (Doors open at 16:00) ■ Speaker Liberal Democratic Party "Parliamentary Federation for the Advanced Utilization of Natural Gas and Promotion of e-methane in GX" Deputy Secretary-General Member of the House of Representatives Mr. Shin Yamaguchi *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

The Next Generation Medical Infrastructure Act is a special law under the Personal Information Protection Act aimed at promoting the utilization of medical data while protecting personal information. However, there have been criticisms regarding the pre-amendment system, as the "anonymized medical information" that can be utilized is difficult to use for research due to the removal of rare disease names, and its application for drug approval has also been challenging. The amendment bill was enacted in the regular session of the National Diet in 2023 and has been in effect since April of this year. The main contents of the amendment include establishing a system for utilizing "pseudonymized medical information" and enabling the linkage between the data of this law and data from sources like the NDB. In the lecture, in addition to explaining the amended law, we will provide detailed information on the government's efforts to promote the secondary use of medical data, as far as possible. Free membership registrationOur company will hold a seminar on "Practical Aspects of Urban Redevelopment Projects." In recent years, many urban redevelopment projects based on the Urban Redevelopment Act have been planned and implemented, particularly in urban areas such as Tokyo. Promoting urban redevelopment projects requires a very complex process compared to the usual building reconstruction, including gathering consensus among neighboring landowners and obtaining approvals from the government, which can take a long time to complete. However, by implementing these projects as public works, large-scale redevelopment, including relaxation of floor area ratios, becomes feasible. Additionally, with the increase in urban redevelopment, there are also more cases considering the use of Special Purpose Companies (SPCs), but there are several legal considerations when utilizing SPCs. This seminar will provide an overview of the complex Urban Redevelopment Act and will also detail practical points to consider when using SPCs.
