[Seminar] Biojet Fuel from Plant Oils that Do Not Compete with Food

J-Oil Mills, Inc. Efforts Toward Building a Supply Chain Model and Future Prospects

Our company will hold a seminar titled "J-Oil Mills Co., Ltd.: Efforts and Future Prospects for Building a Biojet Fuel Supply Chain Model Utilizing Plant Oils and Fats That Do Not Compete with Food." In order to build a future SAF supply chain in our country, we are focusing on non-food competing oilseed plant materials as a response to the major challenge of raw material procurement. We are considering a SAF supply scheme utilizing our oil extraction and refining technology as part of a NEDO subsidized project. In collaboration with the national government, Okinawa Prefectural Government, and companies and academia both within and outside the prefecture, we are demonstrating that SAF can be produced using oils obtained from non-edible oilseed crops grown in Okinawa Prefecture. Additionally, we are developing oil extraction and refining technologies for non-edible oilseed crops to improve SAF yield. On the other hand, challenges related to SAF production and the utilization of underutilized resources in Japan have also become apparent, so we will provide detailed explanations of the direction for addressing these issues in collaboration with government agencies and others in the future. [Seminar Details] ■ Date and Time: July 19 (Friday) 13:30 - 15:30 (Doors open at 13:00) ■ Speaker: J-Oil Mills Co., Ltd. Director, Senior Executive Officer CTO Mr. Eizo Matsumoto *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

【Seminar】Direction of Pricing and Development Strategies in the Semiconductor Industry and Business Opportunities

Entered the second growth cycle - The driving force of demand shifts from humans to machines, with performance improvement demands prioritizing speed.

Our company will hold a seminar titled "Price Strategies, Development Strategy Directions, and Business Opportunities in the Semiconductor Industry." The semiconductor industry cannot avoid cycles of ups and downs (cyclical theory), but on the other hand, it is returning to a phase where speed is the top priority, and the peak of the next cycle is expected to exceed the peak of the previous cycle, forming a structure of "cyclical growth" (structural theory). Mizuho Securities believes that the semiconductor industry has entered its second growth cycle. We will illustrate the differences from the low-growth era since 2000 (the latter half of the first growth cycle) and highlight the commonalities with the semiconductor industry up to the mid-1990s (the first half of the first growth cycle) with specific examples. We will detail the new price strategies, the direction of development strategies including government involvement, the upcoming technology roadmap, and key factors that will mark a significant turning point. 【Seminar Details】 ■ Date and Time: July 17 (Wednesday) 13:30 - 15:30 (Doors open at 13:00) ■ Venue: JPI Conference Square ■ Speaker: Mizuho Securities Co., Ltd. Our company will hold a seminar titled "Progress and Future Developments of Urban Development around Sapporo Station." The extension of the Hokkaido Shinkansen to Sapporo is scheduled for the end of fiscal year 2030. This extension will significantly shorten travel time between Honshu and Hokkaido, leading to expected economic and social benefits in Hokkaido. In particular, the reduction in travel time to the Kanto and Tohoku regions will be substantial, and additionally, the increase in transportation options will help mitigate the risk of traffic disruptions due to severe winter weather. Furthermore, as the Shinkansen connects cities along a line, it will expand its effects over a wider area. To maximize the benefits of the Sapporo extension, it is important to enhance urban development in the cities along the line and to integrate secondary transportation at Shinkansen stations, including Sapporo Station, to expand the effects from a linear to a broader area. 【Seminar Details】 ■ Date and Time: June 14 (Friday) 10:00 - 12:00 (Doors open at 9:30) ■ Venue: ACU-A Asty 45 ■ Address: 12F Asty 45, 5-4, Kita 4-jo Nishi, Chuo-ku, Sapporo ■ Speaker: Koji Yamada, Executive Officer, General Planning Division, Hokkaido Railway Company *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare "Study Group on the Review of Guidelines for the Appropriate Implementation of Online Medical Care" Haruo Kuroki, Member, Special Appointment

Our company will hold a seminar titled "What Does Online Medical Care Bring to Regional Healthcare?" Online medical care is finally being recognized as an independent form of treatment. However, are we fully utilizing its advantages in the current situation? Conducting medical consultations online is not merely about using convenient video calls, nor is it simply a supplementary alternative to outpatient care. The challenge for the healthcare providers (supply side) is to determine what kind of medical care is possible with this new technology and whether it can offer a different quality of care than before. On the other hand, the demand side faces the new challenge of how to utilize this service. It requires consideration from both the supply and demand sides to ensure that it is not just convenient but also provides high-quality medical care. 【Seminar Details】 ■ Date and Time: June 5 (Wednesday) 10:00 - 12:00 (Doors open at 9:30) ■ Venue: JPI Conference Square ■ Speaker: Member of the Study Group on the Review of Guidelines for the Appropriate Implementation of Online Medical Care Director of the Medical Corporation Tsugigyo no Kai Children's and Adults' Clinic Paul Room Dr. Haruo Kuroki, M.D. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
