Due to population decline, a shortage of drivers, and a rapid increase in inbound demand, domestic mobility faces various challenges. Autonomous driving technology, which is expected to be one of the prescriptions, has become more realistic in recent years due to the SDV (Software-Defined Vehicle) transformation and the evolution of generative AI. We will take a bird's-eye view of the current state of driverless mobility from the perspectives of software, underlying vehicle technology, and remote monitoring and communication systems. The profitability of mobility services through autonomous driving is not as high as previously anticipated, and the key to success lies in efficient operations through a business ecosystem and the creation of new value through collaboration with other industries advancing digital transformation (DX). We will provide a detailed explanation of Nissan Motor's roadmap and partnership concepts with real examples. 【Seminar Details】 ■ Date and Time: February 6, 2025 (Thursday) 9:30 - 11:30 (Doors open at 9:00) ■ Venue: JPI Conference Square ■ Address: 5-2-32 Minamiazabu, Minato-ku, Tokyo, Kowa Hiroo Building ■ Speaker: Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. Free membership registrationOur company will hold a business seminar. The water supply business, industrial water supply business, and watershed sewage business operated by the Miyagi Prefectural Enterprise Bureau are essential public services for the lives of residents and the business activities of companies within the prefecture. However, the management environment surrounding these services is expected to become increasingly severe due to a decrease in water demand caused by the arrival of a declining population society and the advancement of a water-saving society, which leads to a reduction in fee income. At the same time, we will soon face the need for large-scale updates of facilities and pipelines. In such a management environment, it has become urgent to establish sustainable water management by strengthening the management foundation to ensure a stable supply of safe and secure water and stable sewage treatment in the future. 【Seminar Details】 ■ Date and Time: February 6 (Thursday) 13:30 - 15:30 (Doors open at 13:00) ■ Venue: JPI Conference Square ■ Address: 5-2-32 Minami Azabu, Minato-ku, Tokyo, Kowa Hiroo Building ■ Speaker: Miyagi Prefectural Enterprise Bureau Water Management Division Technical Deputy Manager and Chief Assistant Manager (In charge of Water Business Promotion) Mr. Kenji Sasaki *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Hamamatsu City, taking advantage of the merger of 12 municipalities, received the largest regional sewerage project in Shizuoka Prefecture from the prefecture on April 1, 2016. In order to address the challenges of people, goods, and money during the transfer, we considered introducing public-private partnership methods, and as a solution to the most pressing issue of labor shortages, we implemented comprehensive private outsourcing at Level 3 for two years from fiscal year 2016 to 2017. Then, starting in fiscal year 2018, we introduced Japan's first concession system for sewerage projects. Now in the seventh year since the introduction of the concession system, the project is progressing smoothly. From the perspective of strengthening Japan's growth potential and economic security, it is important for Japan to expand globally in fields where it has technological superiority. On the other hand, there is a tendency for companies to become conservative in their judgments in the face of risks and hurdles unique to overseas business. Therefore, in June 2022, it was decided to support overseas business investments of companies with technology and ambition as a government one team. To plan and develop these measures and to proceed with necessary adjustments, the "Overseas Business Investment Support Office" was established in the Cabinet Secretariat in August of the same year. This seminar will provide a detailed explanation of our office's activities, the challenges we face, and future prospects. 【Seminar Details】 ■ Date and Time: January 30, 2025 (Thursday) 09:30 - 11:30 (Doors open at 9:00) ■ Venue: JPI Conference Square ■ Address: 5-2-32 Minamiazabu, Minato-ku, Tokyo, Kowa Hiroo Building ■ Participation Method: In-person, live streaming, archived streaming ■ Speaker: Cabinet Secretariat Overseas Business Investment Support Office Cabinet Counselor Mr. Yoshitomo Kondo *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationOur company will hold a business seminar. Until now, corporate sustainability efforts have primarily focused on decarbonization and the disclosure of non-financial information, but attention is beginning to shift towards the impact on biodiversity in the supply chain and resource circularity. For example, while electric vehicles (EVs) are effective in terms of decarbonization, the extraction of lithium, a mineral resource essential for EV manufacturing, leads to various issues such as ecosystem loss, pollution, and human rights violations. Decarbonization, biodiversity, and well-being are interdependent, possessing both trade-offs and synergy effects. Moving forward, it is necessary to visualize and evaluate these aspects holistically and implement optimal measures. This seminar will outline the necessary points for Japanese companies to create new earning power and aim for sustainable growth. 【Seminar Details】 ■ Date and Time: January 29 (Wednesday) 13:30 - 15:30 (Doors open at 13:00) ■ Venue: JPI Conference Square ■ Address: 5-2-32 Minami Azabu, Minato-ku, Tokyo, Kowa Hiroo Building ■ Speaker: PwC Consulting LLC Director Mikiko Saito *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

We are undertaking the challenging task of limiting the global average temperature rise to within 1.5°C compared to pre-industrial levels. However, in June of this year, the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) issued a very serious forecast indicating an 80% probability that the temperature will temporarily exceed 1.5°C compared to the industrial revolution within the next five years. In this context, it is important for our country's forests, which are now reaching the utilization period of artificially planted resources cultivated after the war, to establish a circular use of forest resources through "cutting, using, planting, and nurturing" in order to contribute to carbon neutrality by 2050. This lecture will detail the efforts and budget of the Forestry Agency towards achieving "green growth" that enhances the sustainability and growth of the forestry and wood industry. 【Seminar Details】 ■ Date and Time: January 29, 2025 (Wednesday) 9:30 - 11:30 (Doors open at 9:00) ■ Venue: JPI Conference Square ■ Address: 5-2-32 Minamiazabu, Minato-ku, Tokyo, Kowa Hiroo Building ■ Speaker: Forestry Agency Director of the Planning Division, Forest Management Department Kenichi Saito *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

The water supply and sewage business is an essential infrastructure operation for municipal management that supports citizens' lives and industries. In recent years, both water supply and sewage systems have reached the end of the era of expansion and are transitioning to an era of sustainability, operation, and renewal. However, there are numerous challenges from the perspectives of people (decrease in staff), things (aging assets), and money (decrease in demand). Looking ahead at the development of future business management, efforts are being made to explore avenues such as regionalization, collaboration, and public-private partnerships, with initiatives for regionalization progressing in various areas. 【Seminar Details】 ■ Date and Time: January 28, 2025 (Tuesday) 09:30 - 12:00 (Doors open at 9:00) ■ Venue: JPI Conference Square ■ Address: 5-2-32 Minamiazabu, Minato-ku, Tokyo, Kowa Hiroo Building ■ Participation Method: In-person, live streaming, archived streaming ■ Speaker: Kenichiro Fukuda, Associate Partner, EY Strategy and Consulting Co., Ltd., Infrastructure Advisory *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
