Our company will hold a business seminar. Our company will hold a business seminar. We are undertaking the challenging task of limiting the global average temperature rise to within 1.5°C compared to pre-industrial levels. However, in June of this year, the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) issued a very serious forecast indicating an 80% probability that the temperature will temporarily exceed 1.5°C compared to the industrial revolution within the next five years. In this context, it is important for our country's forests, which are now reaching the utilization period of artificially planted resources cultivated after the war, to establish a circular use of forest resources through "cutting, using, planting, and nurturing" in order to contribute to carbon neutrality by 2050. Japan's GOSAT series of observation satellites has been monitoring carbon dioxide, methane, and other gases for 16 years, and this data is utilized for estimating emissions on a global and national scale. Soon, data will also be provided through a satellite data platform. The upcoming GOSAT-GW satellite, scheduled for launch, is expected to offer higher resolution and an increase in data volume, aiming to observe and estimate emissions at regional, urban, and point source levels.
