We will hold a free online conference titled "Considering the Future of Manufacturing Talent and Organizations in the DX Era" on February 8, 2024 (Thursday). We will invite Professor Takahiro Fujimoto from Waseda University and Emeritus Professor at the University of Tokyo, Mr. Toru Sakai from Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Aerospace Systems Company, and Mr. Hideo Ishida, Director of Japan Management Association Consulting, to introduce approaches and case studies for shaping the future of manufacturing talent and organizations, providing practical hints for everyone. ■Theme■ Recently, due to a serious labor shortage and the younger generation's disengagement from manufacturing, the inheritance of technology is at risk. Meanwhile, the manufacturing environment is undergoing significant transformation, and there is a demand for maintaining and strengthening on-site capabilities. To achieve this and aim for further profit improvement, a strong on-site presence that is not influenced by external environments is necessary, and we believe that the key lies in "people" and "organizations." With the theme of "Unleashing the Potential of Manufacturing Talent and Organizations through On-Site DX," we hope to present know-how and case studies from experts and leaders in manufacturing companies, providing hints for practical implementation on-site.
