Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a case study of the "KES construction method," which uses unique connection hardware in wooden architecture. This is a roadside station that features local wood, crafted by local artisans, and showcases agricultural products from local farmers. This area, famous for its highland vegetables, is one of the heaviest snowfall regions in the Chugoku region. To ensure safe access around the building even in winter and to approach each section, we adopted the KES construction method. This roadside station aims to be recognized by people as a new landscape in this area, which changes dramatically in winter, and to contribute to regional revitalization. 【Case Study】 <Roadside Station Takano> ■ Design: Oohata Renhe Architectural Design ■ Location: Shobara City, Hiroshima Prefecture ■ Site Area: 4,694.74 m² ■ Building Area: 1,797.06 m² ■ Total Floor Area: 1,487.25 m² ■ Number of Floors: 1 above ground *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a case study of the "KES Construction Method," which utilizes unique joining hardware in wooden architecture. The original concept was a café consisting of several small buildings that relate to each other while maintaining their spacing. Considering the operations and the winter climate of Niigata, the final design resulted in a partially integrated shape of the buildings, but the concept has not strayed from the original idea. How a single building, by standing in its location, envelops the surrounding environment and continues to be cherished while being utilized... This architecture approaches true completion alongside the growth of the trees that surround the café. 【Case Study】 <ITOYA Aramachi Lounge> ■Location: Sanjo City, Niigata Prefecture ■Site Area: 988.00 m² ■Total Floor Area: 143.09 m² ■Building Area: 144.99 m² ■Number of Floors: 2 above ground ■Winner of the Wood Design Award 2017 *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a case study utilizing the "KES Method," a connection hardware construction method developed under the mission of "protecting the lives and property of important families" in wooden architecture. This roadside station, located near JR Fuchu Station in Fuchu City, Hiroshima Prefecture, aims to create vibrancy not by gathering buildings together, but by arranging dispersed structures that generate liveliness from a collection of small spaces, including citizens passing through. To ensure that locally produced furniture is prominently displayed, a delicate structural plan features wooden beams resting on solid wood columns and beams made of steel. The roofs are separated by building sections yet partially connect, forming a unified structure. This design allows for a high level of transparency and creates a continuously overlapping scene. 【Case Study】 <Roadside Station Bingo Fuchu> ■Location: Fuchu City, Hiroshima Prefecture ■Site Area: 1,470.99 m² ■Building Area: 822.30 m² ■Total Floor Area: 772.82 m² ■Number of Floors: 1 above ground *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
