The Piezo Drive Cone (PDC) is a ground investigation technology that enables the evaluation of soil liquefaction strength through in-situ testing by measuring pore water pressure in the ground using dynamic penetration tests. In PDC, not only the penetration resistance value Nd (equivalent N value) is obtained, but also the "residual pore water pressure ratio generated during impact" and the relationship between the residual pore water pressure ratio and the fine particle content ratio Fc are used to estimate the fine particle content ratio Fc for each impact, allowing for the evaluation of liquefaction strength based on the obtained Nd value and Fc. Compared to standard penetration tests, which can only calculate one point at a depth of 1 meter, continuous evaluation of soil heterogeneity is possible through automatic measurement for each impact.
