We would like to introduce a case study on the development of battery contacts undertaken by Kyoei Kanamono Seisakusho. A spring trading company was looking for an OEM manufacturer but could not find a place that could realize the drawings designed by the manufacturer, so they requested our company. What was provided was a spring and the drawings created by the manufacturer's designer; however, the drawings had issues, such as a high likelihood that the fit between the main body part (cover) and the mold of the main body cover would not match due to wear during mass production. 【A Twist in the Design Process】 ■ Resolution of Issues through Preliminary Verification - Minimization of mold friction through prior tolerance adjustments - Increased strength by adding ribs to the hook section - Added catches to the cut-over section *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a development case of the pull-tab opening aid and candy bag opener "Helper," created by Kyoei Hardware Manufacturing Co., Ltd. We received a request from a materials trading company asking if we could mass-produce a product shape they were already considering. There were several issues, such as "the blade is exposed and dangerous," "the cutting quality of the film is unstable depending on how the hand is held," and "the design is bland." 【A Twist in the Design Process】 - Adopted a sharp blade - Improved safety and cutting quality by mounting the blade on the backside of the resin - Changed the grip part to resin and modified the design to be colorful *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a development case of the magnet catch yoke for video decks handled by Kyoei Kanamono Seisakusho. We received a request from a magnet manufacturer asking us to create a "rust-free magnet yoke." When we inquired about the intended use and processing, we learned that they were using Parkerizing and applying a boiling treatment (annealing) after assembly. However, there were issues with the boiling treatment after delivery, and we worked on resolving the problem in consultation with our plating partner. 【A Twist in the Design】 ■ Adoption of tin-cobalt plating ■ Elimination of overlapping between products by adding convex processing *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a development case of the soft-close mechanism components for sliding doors of a kitchen cabinet, handled by Kyoei Kanamono Seisakusho. We received a request from a client to "create a soft-close product that is highly functional and inexpensive." In response, we adopted a small and cost-effective disk damper. By converting the soft-close function from a linear direction to a rotational direction and utilizing the disk damper, we achieved the soft-close feature. By using the cost-effective disk damper and reducing the number of components, we successfully achieved significant cost and size reductions compared to conventional products. [Case Study] - Product: Soft-close mechanism components for sliding doors of kitchen cabinets - Adoption of a small and inexpensive disk damper - Achieved cost and size reductions for soft-close products - Added to the lineup of new in-house products with high added value - Patents obtained not only in Japan but also overseas *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
