Spring Water Scale Countermeasures [Electromagnetic Water Treatment Device Vol. 6]

We will introduce a case of installation on a submerged pump that had stopped due to calcium scale.

We would like to introduce a technical case study of the electromagnetic water treatment device "Hydroflow." The water from the spring pit located 15 meters underground at the power plant is supplied through pipes A and B, but it is extremely hard water. The submersible pump for drainage stops due to calcium scaling in about three months, requiring the replacement of the pump each time, which incurs significant costs and time, causing difficulties. Therefore, we installed the Hydroflow model S100 on the water lift pipe. The effective range of this device is approximately 5,000 meters before and after the installation location. This device is a semiconductor product that requires no installation costs or maintenance, and it has been operating smoothly for two years since installation. [Case Overview] ■ Challenges - The pump stops due to calcium scaling in about three months because of hard water. - Replacing the pump each time incurs significant costs and time. ■ Results - It has been operating smoothly for two years since installation. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Case Study on Corrosion Prevention Effects of Chilled Water in Air Conditioning Systems [Magnetic Water Treatment Device Vol. 6]

Installed on the supply header outlet side! An example showing a dark brown color compared to the untreated side.

There are two comparison devices for the internal pipe inspection; one utilizes a polarizer, while the other does not. A comparative inspection was conducted under conditions where the polarizer was not used. One polarizer model "PI-50F (2”)” was installed on the discharge side of the supply header for cold and hot water, with partial circulation treatment performed using the polarizer. After treatment, it was evident that old scale and rust had dissolved and flowed out, forming a magnetite anti-corrosion coating inside the pipe, which appeared smoother and had a dark brown color compared to the untreated side. The untreated side showed signs of corrosion and scale adhesion. [Case Study] ■ Installation Date: December 1985 ■ Purpose: Anti-corrosion and anti-scaling for cold and hot water equipment ■ Installation Method: Installed the polarizer model "PI-50F (50A)" on the outlet side of the supply header ■ Treated Water Volume: Treated more than 5% of the total circulating water volume *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Cooling Water (Chiller Water) Molding Machine Mold Case Study [Magnetic Water Treatment Device Vol. 2]

Cooling water volume increased by 16%! Red rust has been completely removed and changed to black rust.

Tests were conducted in the cooling passages of plastic molds with the aim of removing blockages caused by rust and scale using a polarizer, thereby restoring cooling effectiveness. Additionally, we confirmed whether the removal of red rust from the cooling passages and its reduction to black rust (magnetite) would lead to the formation of an anti-corrosion coating. As a result, when the rust that had dissolved into the water tank was collected and a magnet was applied, the rust was attracted to the magnet, indicating that it had transformed into magnetite. [Test Details] ■ Purpose - To remove blockages caused by rust and scale in the cooling passages of plastic molds using a polarizer, thereby restoring cooling effectiveness (increasing cooling water flow rate). - To confirm whether the removal of red rust from the cooling passages and its reduction to black rust would lead to the formation of an anti-corrosion coating. ■ Location: SK Corporation Headquarters (Gifu Prefecture) ■ Duration: January 21, 1992 - May 30, 1992 (24-hour continuous bench test operation) *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

About the cause of red water (300 households) [Magnetic water treatment device Vol. 2]

We will introduce examples of conducting water main extraction in various housing complexes and investigating corrosion within the pipes!

Since the 1970s, as a measure against red water in buildings constructed after that period, the Ministry of Construction has guided the increased use of PVC-lined pipes over white gas pipes (galvanized steel pipes). Furthermore, from the 1980s to the present day (2002), many buildings, apartments, and general residences have experienced occurrences of red water every morning. As a result, in various housing complexes, investigations were conducted on the corrosion of the water supply pipes by removing them. The findings revealed that most of the corrosion inside the pipes was caused by the potential difference between dissimilar metals at the valves and pipe joints, as well as damage to the PVC lining seals. It was determined that the dissolved oxygen in the water reacts electrochemically with the metals through the water. [Causes] ■ Most of the corrosion inside the pipes is due to the potential difference between dissimilar metals at the valves and pipe joints, and damage to the PVC lining seals. ■ The dissolved oxygen in the water reacts electrochemically with the metals through the water. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Red Water Countermeasures (Hotel Hot Water Supply) [Magnetic Water Treatment Device Vol. 9]

Installed with a partial bypass method on return pipe 65A! Introduction of a case where red rust in the boiler turned into black rust and red water stopped.

There was a complaint that red water was coming out of the hot water faucet in the guest rooms within three years of the hotel's completion, and various measures were taken, but the issue was not resolved at all. As a result, a Polar magnetic water treatment device "Model PI-25F" (3-point set) was installed in a partial bypass configuration on the return pipe 65A, treating about 20% of the circulating water volume. As a result, it was confirmed that the red rust in the boiler had turned into black rust, and the red water had stopped. [Case Study] ■ Issues - Despite the piping being made of stainless steel and plastic, red water occurred. - The cause of the red water was corrosion due to an abnormal oxidation reaction of dissolved oxygen (DO) in the water inside the steel hot water heater. ■ Measures - A Polar magnetic water treatment device "Model PI-25F" (3-point set) was installed in a partial bypass configuration on the return pipe 65A. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Corrosion and scale prevention for chilled water in air conditioning systems [Magnetic Water Treatment Device Vol. 7]

The water quality in the pipe is slightly alkaline! The pH has increased, there is less iron, the water is clear, and the corrosion resistance is significant.

This introduces the corrosion prevention, scale prevention, and water quality purification effects of chilled and warm water systems. To confirm the effectiveness of the newly installed chilled and warm water pipes, an internal surface inspection was conducted. A very thin, dense, and uniform white (inorganic) corrosion-resistant film was formed, and there was no occurrence of rust. The water quality inside the pipes was slightly alkaline, and the iron content was within the drinking water standards. The clips in the sample water also did not rust, resulting in excellent outcomes. [Case Study] - Installation Location: A certain hospital in Fukuoka Prefecture - Installation Date: February 16, 1999 - Polar Model: PI-50F x 2 units - Installation Location: Chilled and warm water equipment for air conditioning (2 units) - Installation Method: Partial (5%) back method *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Corrosion prevention effect of newly built air conditioning chilled and hot water【Magnetic Water Treatment Device Vol.5】

The iron content of the treated hot and cold water has decreased from 0.15 to below 0.05, which is a reduction of one third!

At the headers of the cooling and heating water system of Fukui Prefectural Hospital, a polar magnetic water treatment device was installed along with a dedicated circulation pump, and the circulating water was treated using a partial draw-off method. As a result, significant improvements in water quality were achieved for the hot water system, with pH and silica levels showing marked enhancement, and the Langelier index rising from -1.9 (highly corrosive) to +0.9 (non-corrosive). The cold water system also showed significant improvements in water quality, with the Langelier index changing from -1.9 (highly corrosive) to -0.2 (very slight corrosion). However, the iron content in both the treated hot and cold water decreased from 0.15 to below 0.05, a reduction of one-third, indicating that the risk of corrosion is negligible. [Case Study] ■ Installation Location: Headers of the cooling and heating water system of Fukui Prefectural Hospital ■ Polar Model - For cold water system: Model PI-50CF × 1 set (Trial operation on November 1, 2003) - For hot water system: Model PI-50CF × 1 set (Trial operation on November 1, 2003) (Size selection was carried out by our company) *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Polar Technology Case Study] Confirmation of anti-corrosion effect on air conditioning chilled and hot water pipes after 17 years and 5 months.

The remaining lifespan of the cold and warm water pipes is estimated to be over 20 years! Thanks to Polar's rust prevention, there are no rust lumps on the inner surface of the pipes.

We would like to introduce a case where the anti-corrosion effect was confirmed on air conditioning chilled and hot water pipes 17 years and 5 months after polar treatment. Due to the anti-corrosion action of the polar treatment, there are no rust lumps on the inner surface of the pipes, which are covered by an extremely thin, dense, and uniform anti-corrosion film that has absorbed minerals. This film prevents the reaction (corrosion) between oxygen in the water and iron, thus providing corrosion protection. [Case Study] ■ Location: A certain major home improvement center ■ Installation Date: October 2002 (17 years and 5 months have passed since installation at the time of new construction) ■ Purpose: Anti-corrosion measures for newly installed air conditioning chilled and hot water equipment *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Example of cost savings calculation when adopting a pool.

Introduction of a cost-saving calculation example when adopting Hydroflow for a pool.

At the outdoor pool of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, we were using an ozone generator for sterilization, but due to high electricity costs, we discontinued its use and installed three Hydroflow P160 (for 6"). As a result, we were able to maintain water quality safety, and we report this. The installation was made in March 2000 on a 150A pipe just before entering the sand filters (three units). The pool's water volume was 2,400m². 【Evaluation of Benefits】 ■ Discontinued the ozone generator, reduced the backwashing frequency of the filters to 1/3 and the cleaning time to 1/5, saving on drainage volume. ■ Reduced the usage of electrolyzed disinfectants to 1/3. ■ Overall costs saved approximately 1.4 million yen annually. ■ The water has become softer compared to before. ⇒ It has become gentler on swimmers' skin, eyes, hair, and swimsuits. Countermeasures for Red Water in Tap Water [Electromagnetic Water Treatment Device Vol. 4]

Introducing a case study of Hydroflow installation in an apartment with old water pipes that produce dirty rusty water!

We would like to introduce a technical case study of the installation of the electromagnetic water treatment device "Hydroflow" in a certain apartment building in Tokyo. This apartment building has reached its 30th anniversary since completion, and the water supply pipes are old, causing dirty rusty water to come out of the faucet for about 10 to 30 seconds every morning, which was a problem. Therefore, we installed the Hydroflow P60 on the discharge pipe of the pressurization pump (50A). About two months later, the rusty red tap water every morning turned into clear, clean tap water, and the red water completely stopped without the need for chemicals or pipe rehabilitation. [Case Summary] ■ Issues - The water supply pipes are old, and dirty rusty water is coming out. ■ Results - The rusty red tap water every morning became clear, clean tap water. - The red water completely stopped without the need for chemicals or pipe rehabilitation. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Prevention of Algae Growth in Cooling Towers [Electromagnetic Water Treatment Device Vol. 7]

No occurrence of water algae, and the water is clear and beautiful! Issues such as scale and slime in the heat exchanger are also resolved.

We would like to introduce a technical case study of the electromagnetic water treatment device "Hydroflow." Green algae had developed at the bottom of the cooling tower, causing significant contamination, and there was a decrease in thermal efficiency due to scale and slime in the heat exchange section. Therefore, we installed the Hydroflow on the discharge side of the pump on the main pipe, and one month later, the water algae that passed through the Hydroflow turned brown, died, and accumulated. After that, we cleaned it once, but there was no further occurrence of water algae, and the water became clear and clean. 【Case Overview】 ■ Issues - Green algae had developed at the bottom of the cooling tower, causing contamination. - There was a decrease in thermal efficiency in the heat exchange section due to scale and slime. ■ Results - No occurrence of water algae, and the water became clear and clean. - Issues within the heat exchange, such as scale and slime, were also resolved. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
