[Case Study] Ceramic Coating with Excellent Non-Stick and Wear Resistance

There are cases where, after several months of use, there is no degradation in performance, and cleaning tasks have become significantly easier than before.

This is a case study from a food company. They were struggling with the burden of cleaning due to product adhesion on molds and transport guides used in the manufacturing process. Among several surface treatments we proposed, they showed interest in a ceramic coating that excels in heat resistance and non-stick properties. After conducting test evaluations, we achieved good results in terms of non-stick performance. As a result, even after several months of use, there was no deterioration in performance, and they were pleased to find that cleaning tasks had become significantly easier than before. [Issues] ■ Excessive material adhesion can lead to defects where products do not meet the specified weight. ■ They had previously adopted fluoropolymer coatings, but these wore out quickly, resulting in low cost-effectiveness. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Surface Treatment] Ceramic Coating (Deposition) (Heat Resistance, Release Properties)

Ceramic coating (deposition) (durability, heat resistance, release properties (non-stickiness))

■Outstanding Features This is a technology that produces the hardest coating. While it is often aimed at improving durability, depending on the properties of the film, it can also enhance heat resistance and release properties.

Surface treatment: Ceramic coating (slip resistance, non-stick properties, wear resistance)

Ceramic coating (slip resistance, non-stick properties, wear resistance, heat resistance, thermal conductivity, chemical resistance, water repellency, re-coating)

■Outstanding Features The greatest feature is the combination of excellent sliding properties, non-stickiness, and wear resistance. It also excels in heat resistance and thermal conductivity compared to fluororesin. Chemical resistance and water repellency are comparable to fluororesin. It can be recoated. Additionally, the substrate coated with fluororesin can be peeled off and replaced (however, if a thick film PFA or similar has been treated, it may not be peelable, so please consult us). ○Heat Resistance With a heat resistance temperature of 450°C, it can be used for high-temperature manufactured products such as pizza. ○Non-Stickiness When baked in a mold for sweets, it does not stick, allowing for beautifully shaped baked goods. ○Thermal Conductivity When baked in a takoyaki mold, its excellent thermal conductivity reduces cooking time.

Ceramic Coating for Parts Feeders

The appropriate surface roughness and slip properties make it effective for transporting small resin products.

With an appropriate surface roughness and slip properties, it is effective for transporting small resin products. It has better slip properties than conventional fluoropolymer coatings, and the film hardness is 9H, which is about three times harder than fluoropolymer coatings. *For more details, please feel free to contact our company.

Shine Kogei [Ceramic Coating for Resin and Engineering Plastics]

With Shine Kōgei's "Sera Armor," inexpensive general-purpose resin transforms into a high-performance material!!

Shine Kogei's high-performance ceramic coating "Cera Armor" significantly expands the range of materials that can be processed compared to other surface treatment technologies. "Cera Armor" forms a high-hardness ceramic film through heat treatment according to the heat resistance temperature of the material. Therefore, it can be applied to materials with low heat resistance, such as resin, engineering plastics, glass, and wood. It imparts the wear resistance, slip properties, and release properties of the ceramic film to the material. It is used in resin sensor components, sliding parts, food equipment parts, and conveyor systems. ◆ Inquiries ◆ When making an inquiry, it would be helpful to provide the following information for a smoother process. 1. Properties of the substrate to be coated (material, shape, size, etc.) 2. Purpose of coating (e.g., non-stick, chemical resistance, slip properties, etc.) 3. Usage conditions (e.g., temperature, chemicals, wear conditions, etc.) *If possible, providing drawings would be beneficial for estimating and calculations.

Shine Kogei [Ceramic Coating for Molds]

Granting mold release and non-stick properties with Shine Kogei's "Sera Armor"!

Shine Kogei's ceramic coating "Cera Armor" has seen an increase in processing achievements for molds in recent years. Generally, when it comes to mold release processing, fluororesin coatings are the norm, but when higher durability and wear resistance are required, we recommend "Cera Armor." While fluororesin typically has a film hardness of 2-3H, "Cera Armor" boasts a high hardness film of 9H. With the extended lifespan of the coating, the ease of workpiece release is also sustained. This contributes to the efficiency of shot cycles and helps achieve cost reductions for your company. ◆ Inquiries ◆ When making an inquiry, it would be smooth if you could provide the following information: 1. The properties of the substrate to be coated (material, shape, size, etc.) 2. The purpose of the coating (e.g., non-stick, chemical resistance, slip properties, etc.) 3. [Case Study] Improvement of Coating Lifespan for Food Containers

Significantly improved functionality! A case study that solved the challenges of outdoor and food container manufacturers.

We would like to introduce a case that solved the problems faced by outdoor specialty manufacturers and food container manufacturers. 【Problems】 ◆ The coating on food containers used outdoors peels off quickly. ◆ Therefore, they are looking for a surface treatment with excellent durability. 【Improvements】 Ceramic coating has excellent heat resistance (up to 300°C) and achieves higher heat resistance than fluorine coatings. With a Mohs hardness of 9H, it also boasts excellent durability, which helps to suppress the peeling of the coating when using metal spatulas. It is used in heat-resistant parts of cooking utensils and as industrial heat-resistant paint. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Case Study] A Must-See for Those Struggling with Surface Treatment! Ceramic Coating

Introducing the issues we solved with our ceramic coating "DK-coat Infinity"!

The DK-coat Infinity is a ceramic coating made from a completely inorganic material that holds infinite possibilities, with no impact on the environment or human health. Unlike Teflon coatings (fluororesin coatings), it is a ceramic coating that can address the currently concerning PFAS issues. With excellent heat resistance (up to 450°C for Infinity330), it maintains non-stick properties, low friction, and wear resistance even at high temperatures (450°C), and its hard coating with a hardness of 9H significantly improves durability. <Do you have any of these concerns?> ■ Frequently scrubbing and taking a long time to clean. ■ Products are not slippery. Friction scratches appear on the products. ■ Want to heat a chemical solution to a high temperature. ■ Using strong acids or strong alkalis. *For more details, please download the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
