[Case Study] Pressure Distribution Analysis of Brake Pads Using Nonlinear Analysis
Measures to reduce brake squeal! It is important to understand the stiffness distribution between the disc and the pad.
We would like to introduce our analysis on "Pressure Distribution Analysis of Brake Pads using Nonlinear Analysis." To reduce brake noise, it is necessary to control the rigidity of the caliper and the pads. In examining the rigidity of the caliper and pads, it is important to understand the rigidity distribution caused by the pressure distribution between the disc and the pads. The model for this case consists of the caliper, piston, plate, and pads. We applied pressure to the piston and caliper and conducted a nonlinear static analysis that includes the nonlinear friction coefficient between the pads and the disc. [Case Overview] ■ Model: Caliper, Piston, Plate, and Pads ■ Analysis Content - Pressure was applied to the piston and caliper, and a nonlinear static analysis including the nonlinear friction coefficient between the pads and disc was performed using "NX Nastran (SOL601)." *For more detailed information about this case, please refer to the related links.
