Polymer compound 'HEC (Hydroxyethyl cellulose)'

The viscosity of the aqueous solution remains stable for a long time! It demonstrates excellent properties such as thickening, moisture retention, suspension, and protective colloids.

HEC (Hydroxyethyl cellulose) is a water-soluble polymer compound created by adding ethylene oxide to cellulose. The aqueous solution possesses excellent functions such as thickening, moisture retention, suspension, dispersion, and protective colloid, and is used in various fields. Additionally, there is an indicator that shows the degree of ethylene oxide addition, known as the average substitution molar number (MS), which for our HEC is controlled between 1.5 and 2.5, varying by product grade. 【Features】 ■ Easily soluble in cold and warm water ■ The aqueous solution is stable at both low and high temperatures and does not gel ■ Nonionic and stable across a wide range of pH levels ■ Exhibits excellent properties such as thickening, moisture retention, suspension, and protective colloid ■ Resistant to alteration, with the viscosity of the aqueous solution remaining stable for a long time *For more details, please refer to the related link page or feel free to contact us.

[Data] Verification of overlap degree and molecular weight difference through IR analysis.

A reference peak was established in the ethylene section, focusing on the peaks involved in the ether bond!

This document introduces "Verification of Degree of Polymerization and Molecular Weight Differences through IR Analysis" by Aites Co., Ltd. Polyethylene oxide (PEO) is used in a wide range of applications due to its properties derived from its polar structure, including as an insulating material and electrolyte in lithium-ion polymer secondary batteries, surfactants, cosmetics, and synthetic detergent raw materials. In this study, we analyzed PEO with different degrees of polymerization and molecular weights using IR analysis, attempting to interpret the differences from the spectra and conduct data analysis. We invite you to read it. [Contents] ■ Polyethylene Oxide ■ Data analysis through overlaying IR spectra of each obtained sample ■ Other analytical approaches are also possible *Please feel free to contact us.

Sulfonated polyether sulfone 'S-PES'

Sulfonation of polyether sulfone (PES)! We have successfully achieved a high introduction rate of sulfonic acid groups while preventing a decrease in molecular weight.

KONISHI Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. has developed sulfonated polyether sulfone 'S-PES' by sulfonating polyether sulfone (PES). The sulfonic acid group exhibits ion exchange capacity and hydrophilicity, imparting new functions to existing polymer compounds. A novel sulfonation method for aromatic polymers has been developed, successfully achieving a high sulfonic acid group introduction rate while preventing a decrease in molecular weight. (Patent No. 5824734) 【Quality Example】 ■ Appearance: Light brown powder ■ Sulfonic acid group introduction rate: 30% ■ Weight average molecular weight: 130,000 ■ Moisture: ≦3% ■ Development stage: Pilot results available *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
