[Case Study of Dipole] Koijiro Development Co., Ltd.

Affordable solutions for rust prevention in building plumbing! Introducing case studies of Dipole implementation.

This is a case study of Koi Castle Development Co., Ltd., which has been engaged in real estate business in Hiroshima Prefecture for 40 years. We installed 'DIPOLE' in a building that includes three tenant shops, an office, and a residence, which is 18 years old. Previously, when red rust appeared in the piping, we addressed it by installing water purifiers from other companies. The estimate for treating the red rust in the piping was 820,000 yen, but by installing DIPOLE, the red rust changed to black rust, allowing for a cost-effective solution for piping issues. We received feedback expressing a desire to focus on contributing to environmental improvement in Hiroshima with DIPOLE and to expand their business in the future. [Case Study] ■ Model Used: DIPOLE 20A *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Pipe anti-corrosion: Yokohama City Waterworks Bureau conducts effectiveness verification of NMR pipe protectors (2)

The Yokohama City Waterworks Bureau has verified the effectiveness of the "NMR Pipe Protector" for preventing the decrease in residual chlorine concentration in water distribution pipes.

The Yokohama City Waterworks Bureau confirmed an increase in residual chlorine concentration to prevent red rust and the associated reduction of disinfectant chlorine in the water supply pipe at the Tsurumi public office. Therefore, starting from November 5, 2012, a demonstration test was conducted using the water distribution pipe (100A) in the Hazawa area to prevent the decrease in residual chlorine concentration. In the six measurements taken from September 26 to October 30, prior to the installation of the NMR pipe protector, the average residual chlorine concentration at the planned installation site (Point A) was 0.55 mg/ℓ (with Point A's residual chlorine concentration set at 100%). However, at 50 meters downstream (Point B), the average was 0.41 mg/ℓ (a reduction rate of 25.45%), and at the farthest point, 125 meters away (Point C), the average was 0.23 mg/ℓ (a reduction rate of 58.18%), indicating a decrease due to the red rust occurring in the piping. Subsequently, on November 5, the NMR pipe protector was installed, and after more than three months, during the three measurements taken from February 19 to March 22, the average residual chlorine concentration at the installation site (Point A) was 0.61 mg/ℓ. At 50 meters downstream (Point B), the average for the same three measurements was 0.61 mg/ℓ (a reduction rate of 0%), showing that the decrease was mostly prevented. Even at the farthest point, 125 meters away (Point C), the average for the same three measurements was 0.55 mg/ℓ (a reduction rate of 9.84%), indicating a significant improvement in the reduction rate.

Pipe anti-corrosion, Lions Mansion Koshigaya North has introduced NMR Pipe Protectors.

The installation of the rust prevention device "NMR Pipe Protector" on the water supply pipes has been confirmed through long-term verification that the black rust formation from red rust inside the pipes improves the condition of the piping every year.

The "Lions Mansion Koshigaya North" located in Koshigaya City, Saitama Prefecture, introduced the NMR Pipe Protector in November 2010. This successfully reduced the cost of pipe maintenance to one-third of the amount originally planned for lining work in the long-term repair plan. Before the installation of the NMR Pipe Protector, and one year, five years, and ten years after installation, the red rust blockage rate at the dissimilar metal joints, where red rust deterioration progresses the most, was continuously inspected, confirming that the red rust blockage rate decreased over time. This indicates that the red rust is gradually transforming into black rust, which is one-tenth the volume. This has proven that the water supply pipes can be extended to the lifespan of the building. The management association effectively utilized the saved budget for LED lighting upgrades and other repairs. In addition to the LED lighting upgrades, the renewal of elevators is also being considered in the future. As a result, the NMR Pipe Protector has become a savior for the condominium. It has significantly reduced the costs of pipe maintenance, allowing the remaining budget to be allocated to other building facilities. **Results of the NMR Pipe Protector:** - No growth of red rust was observed in the endoscopic survey conducted six years after installation. - A reduction in the volume of red rust was observed, indicating progress in the transformation to black rust.
