Paralink combined with low-improvement DMM method.
Suppress overall deformation of the fill soil and achieve cost reduction with a low improvement rate! Examples of construction are also introduced with photos.
The "Low Improvement DMM Method" is a construction technique that places improved columns across the entire width in the transverse direction, which can suppress overall deformation of the embankment and allows for cost reduction by using a low improvement rate (by widening the spacing of the improved columns). When ground improvement is carried out at a low improvement rate, issues such as differential settlement between the improved and unimproved areas may arise, necessitating surface treatment as a countermeasure. For surface treatment, geosynthetics (Paralink) installation and shallow improvement methods are effective.
