"We conducted an investigation regarding whether the charging location, which has a lot of frozen cargo, would cause the temperature to drop below 0°C during charging, making it impossible to charge." The operating time per day was approximately 16.5 hours, with a charging time of about 4 hours and idle time of around 3 hours, resulting in a discharge capacity of about 80% of 280Ah, with two cycles (450Ah) of operation. As a result of the investigation, it was concluded that it is "possible" for one battery to operate for 24 hours, with a maximum operation time of about 20 hours. Additionally, the lithium-ion battery was a standard capacity of 560Ah48V for a 2.5-ton forklift, and charging was done using a separate rapid charger with a capacity of 150A. Here is a case study of the lithium-ion battery replacement service for forklifts that our company provided. In a certain parts supply warehouse, during intermittent operation with 24-hour availability, the forklift operated for 5 to 8 hours a day, with charging taking 0.5 to 1.4 hours per day. Additionally, due to intermittent operation and driver usage, there was a long idle time of about 8 hours a day. Considering the need for continuous operation during peak periods, we recommended the introduction of a 560Ah lithium-ion battery and a fast charger, as well as the collection of three 400Ah lead batteries for replacement.
