Asphalt mats that protect harbors and coastlines from disasters.
The asphalt mat is formed by embedding reinforcing core materials, lifting wire ropes, and lifting fittings within asphalt aggregate.
It is widely used in hydraulic structures from rivers and coastlines to oceans, and can also be used for prevention of permeability, slope protection, water cutoff works, and anchoring measures.
【Main Uses】
■ For Increasing Friction
- By installing it between caissons, block walls, etc., and the riprap, it is possible to use a friction coefficient of 0.8, allowing for a reduction in cross-sectional width.
■ For Erosion Prevention
- It can bend into the slopes of erosion holes that occur on the front and back surfaces of riprap mounds and wave-dissipating blocks in ports and coastal structures, stopping the progression of erosion.
■ For Preventing Suction
- It can be laid on the bottom surfaces of riprap mounds and wave-dissipating blocks to prevent the suction of bottom materials (sand).
- It can be laid on the back side of riprap mounds for reclaimed shorelines to prevent the loss of backfill materials due to suction.
