[New Oil Pollution Control Technology for a Decarbonized Society] ■ Following the Japanese government's "2050 Carbon Neutral (CN2050)" initiative in 2020, there has been a transformation in corporate awareness towards a decarbonized society. ■ The social implementation of a unique and highly effective "Negative Emission (NE) technology" that stores "biochar" in the ground and agricultural land, strongly promoting CN2050, has begun. ■ Since the postponement of establishing soil oil pollution concentration standards in the past, Japan's development of oil pollution purification technology has been in decline, peaking 20 years ago. ■ The "Activated Carbon Bioremediation Technology," which is also an NE technology, progresses with bioremediation after the sensory values of oil pollution are cleared early on.
