Under the Soil Contamination Countermeasures Act (Soil Contamination Act), owners of land that was a factory or business site related to the use of specified harmful substances that have been discontinued must have the soil contamination status of that land investigated by a designated investigation agency and report the results to the governor of the prefecture. Additionally, some ordinances may have a broader scope of application for soil contamination investigations than the Soil Contamination Countermeasures Act. For example, the Tokyo Metropolitan Environmental Protection Ordinance requires that when a factory or designated work site is discontinued or removed, not only current but also past handled harmful substances must be investigated, and land alterations of 3,000 m² or more are also subject to investigation. The age value of minerals is related not only to the time since the mineral was formed (the time since the mineral cooled to several tens of degrees Celsius), but also to the intensity of radiation exposure per unit time and the specific properties of that mineral. Soil and Groundwater Contamination Investigation and Measures The Environmental Geology Division was established in 1994, before the Soil Contamination Countermeasures Act was enacted. Including projects conducted prior to that, Miyama has been providing a one-stop service for soil contamination investigation and measures for over 30 years. Improved elastic wave exploration service

NETIS, registered as a patent! This method allows for the overall evaluation of the embankment in a planar manner.

Our company has developed an "Improved Elastic Wave Exploration" method to quantitatively and spatially evaluate the integrity (deformation level) of mass concrete in dams, which is being utilized in sand control dams nationwide. By setting up vibration points around the dam, we analyze the elastic waves that pass through the concrete in both vertical and horizontal directions, visualizing the elastic wave velocity distribution spatially and evaluating it quantitatively.
