The "FSBSW Series" is a ball spline of the double size type with a round flange. It features semicircular ball grooves on the shaft and nut, with steel balls interposed in the grooves, allowing for linear motion while simultaneously transmitting torque through a circulating motion. Features of Ball Splines High Load Capacity Ball splines utilize a precisely ground rolling surface with a 40° Gothic arch contact angle, resulting in a significant load capacity for both radial loads and rated torque due to the increased contact angle. Zero Play in Rotational Direction The spline shaft and spline outer cylinder are composed of a 40° contact angle with two-row and four-row ball arrays. By properly adjusting the pre-load, the play in the rotational direction can be reduced to zero, enhancing rigidity. High Performance The ball in the raceway is composed of unique contact points, providing high rigidity, high performance, and low friction for energy savings. High Rigidity The raceway has a large contact angle (40°), which results in high rigidity. Additionally, by applying appropriate pre-load, excellent torque rigidity and moment rigidity can be achieved. Ease of Assembly Due to special design, the balls do not fall out even when the spline outer cylinder is removed from the spline shaft. Therefore, assembly, maintenance, and inspection become easier.

The ball spline is a revolutionary linear motion system that allows torque transmission while a ball, incorporated into the spline nut, moves smoothly in a straight line along the rolling surface of a precisely ground spline shaft. Moreover, unlike conventional structures, it provides preload with a single spline nut, enabling high performance in harsh applications where vibration and shock loads occur, in areas requiring high precision positioning, and in situations demanding high-speed motion performance. Additionally, when used as a substitute for linear bushes, it offers a rated load that is several times greater than that of the same shaft diameter, allowing for a compact design. This makes it usable even in cases where overhang loads and moments are applied, resulting in high safety and long service life.
