Ideal for mechanisms that perform linear motion while transmitting torque! Capable of high-speed movement and high-speed rotation!
The ball spline is a revolutionary linear motion system that allows torque transmission while a ball, incorporated into the spline nut, moves smoothly in a straight line along the rolling surface of a precisely ground spline shaft. Moreover, unlike conventional structures, it provides preload with a single spline nut, enabling high performance in harsh applications where vibration and shock loads occur, in areas requiring high precision positioning, and in situations demanding high-speed motion performance. Additionally, when used as a substitute for linear bushes, it offers a rated load that is several times greater than that of the same shaft diameter, allowing for a compact design. This makes it usable even in cases where overhang loads and moments are applied, resulting in high safety and long service life.

basic information
[Classification of Ball Splines] There are three types of ball splines: high torque type, medium torque type, and rotary type, allowing for selection based on purpose. Additionally, each type offers a wide variety of spline nut shapes to choose from according to mounting and usage needs. ▼ High Torque Type ○ Cylindrical Ball Spline (Medium Load Type) LBS Type ○ Cylindrical Ball Spline (Heavy Load Type) LBST Type ○ Flanged Ball Spline LBF Type ○ Flanged Ball Spline LBR Type ○ Square Ball Spline LBH Type ▼ Medium Torque Type ○ Cylindrical Ball Spline LT Type ○ Flanged Ball Spline LF Type ○ Miniature Ball Spline LT-X Type ▼ Rotary Type ○ Rotary Ball Spline LTR-A Type ○ Rotary Ball Spline LTR Type ○ Gear-Driven Ball Spline LBG Type ○ Gear-Driven Ball Spline LBGT Type

Detailed information
-
High Torque Type "LBS/LBST/LBF/LBR/LBH" [Structure and Features] ○ Six rows of ball columns are arranged to sandwich three protrusions, which are evenly spaced at 120° around the outer circumference of the spline shaft, allowing for preloading to be applied without strain due to the angular contact structure. ○ Ball circulation occurs within the inner diameter of the spline nut, resulting in a compact outer diameter of the spline nut. ○ There is no angular backlash. ○ It can transmit large torque.
-
Medium Torque Type "LT/LF" [Structure and Features] ○ A series of 4 to 6 rows of balls are arranged to sandwich 2 to 3 protrusions on the outer circumference of the spline shaft from both sides, allowing for a pre-load to be applied without difficulty. ○ The two opposing rows of balls have a contact angle of 20°, and by applying an appropriate pre-load, it is possible to achieve proper torque and moment stiffness without angular backlash.
-
Rotary Type "LTR-A / LTR / LBG / LBGT" [Structure and Features] ○ LTR/LTR-A is a compact unit type that directly incorporates support bearings into the outer circumference of the spline nut. ○ The LBG/LBGT type features gear processing on the outer circumference of the flange, and a compact combination of radial and thrust needle bearings in the spline nut section. This is optimal for torque transmission mechanisms driven by spline nuts.
