[Example] Rotating Dynamics Transient Response Analysis

In transient response analysis, in addition to synchronous and asynchronous analyses like frequency analysis, it is also possible to perform analyses where the rotation speed is constant or the excitation frequency is constant while increasing the rotation speed.

【Case Overview】 ■Product Name: NX Nastran ■Analysis: Linear Transient Analysis ■Industry: Other Transient response analysis that calculates the vibration characteristics of the rotor when increasing the rotational speed and the behavior during passing through the critical speed can be performed in addition to synchronous and asynchronous analyses like frequency analysis. It is also possible to conduct analyses where the rotational speed is increased while keeping the rotational speed constant or the excitation frequency constant. This is an analysis along a point or a horizontal line in the Campbell diagram. □For other functions and details, please refer to the catalog.

[Case Study] Pressure Distribution Analysis of Brake Pads Using Nonlinear Analysis

Measures to reduce brake squeal! It is important to understand the stiffness distribution between the disc and the pad.

We would like to introduce our analysis on "Pressure Distribution Analysis of Brake Pads using Nonlinear Analysis." To reduce brake noise, it is necessary to control the rigidity of the caliper and the pads. In examining the rigidity of the caliper and pads, it is important to understand the rigidity distribution caused by the pressure distribution between the disc and the pads. The model for this case consists of the caliper, piston, plate, and pads. We applied pressure to the piston and caliper and conducted a nonlinear static analysis that includes the nonlinear friction coefficient between the pads and the disc. [Case Overview] ■ Model: Caliper, Piston, Plate, and Pads ■ Analysis Content - Pressure was applied to the piston and caliper, and a nonlinear static analysis including the nonlinear friction coefficient between the pads and disc was performed using "NX Nastran (SOL601)." *For more detailed information about this case, please refer to the related links. Feel free to contact us for more details.

[Analysis Case] Behavior Analysis of Diaphragm Spring Using Nonlinear Static Analysis

Nonlinear static analysis conducted on the behavior of diaphragm springs! Reproduction of the jumping phenomenon.

We would like to introduce our analysis titled "Behavior Analysis of Diaphragm Springs Using Nonlinear Static Analysis." When a load is applied to a disc spring, the shape of the spring is complex, resulting in not only bending but also twisting and buckling. Additionally, the support conditions are not constant, making it impossible to determine the load and stress using simple cantilever beam theory. In this analysis example, we were able to reproduce the jumping phenomenon of a diaphragm spring used in automotive clutches by conducting nonlinear static analysis on its behavior. [Case Summary] ■ Analysis Type: Nonlinear Static Analysis ■ Analysis Result: Reproduction of bidirectional jumping deformation of the diaphragm spring *For more detailed information about the case, please refer to the related links. Feel free to contact us for further inquiries.
