[Case Study] Elimination of Foreign Matter Contamination During Concentrated Juice Transfer
Eliminating foreign matter contamination with existing rotary pumps! A case study from a food manufacturer.
The food manufacturer was transferring concentrated fruit juice (with a maximum viscosity of 20,000 mPa·s) from the raw material tank to the filling machine tank at a flow rate of 2 tons per hour. However, the existing rotary pump generated wear particles from the mechanical seal, which sometimes mixed into the liquid, leading to the need for frequent disassembly and inspection, presenting various challenges. For solutions to the challenges and requests, please download and view the PDF document. 【Customer's Challenges and Requests】 ■ Disassembly exposed the system to outside air, increasing the risk of bacterial growth with each inspection. ■ Specialized maintenance personnel were required, and the replacement parts were expensive, resulting in high maintenance costs. ■ Wear particles from the pump's mechanical seal sometimes mixed into the liquid, necessitating frequent disassembly and inspection. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
