Concrete corrosion protection for water treatment facilities: "Z Mortar KS500 Method"
For the repair and corrosion protection of concrete affected by the erosive action of substances like sulfuric acid in wastewater and waste treatment facilities.
The "Z Mortar KS500 Method" is a corrosion protection method using sulfuric acid-resistant mortar based on blast furnace slag. It complies with the quality standards for sulfuric acid-resistant mortar for protective coatings as specified in the Japan Sewerage Agency's "Manual on Corrosion Control Technology and Protective Technology for Concrete Structures in Sewers." Designed with a concept that allows for a reduction in cross-sectional area, it predicts the amount of reduction in cross-section or the depth of carbonation due to deterioration, setting a reduction amount or carbonation depth that does not pose structural issues. Alternatively, it involves pre-thickening the cross-section and maintaining the facility's functionality through repeated repairs while conducting regular inspections. 【Features】 ■ Exhibits excellent sulfuric acid resistance due to the formulation of special powders based on blast furnace slag. ■ Can be applied in high humidity environments and construction conditions with high moisture content in concrete, which conventional coating lining methods cannot accommodate. ■ Eliminates the need for overlapping processes in coating lining methods, resulting in shorter construction processes and curing periods, thus reducing construction time. ■ Reduces resource and energy consumption, as well as CO2 emissions, by using blast furnace slag. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
