High Positioning Accuracy
Linear guides have very low friction resistance during motion, allowing the table to be driven with minimal power compared to sliding friction. Due to the low friction resistance, the friction heat generated during motion is also reduced. Compared to conventional sliding friction, the wear on the rolling contact surfaces of the rails is significantly decreased, maintaining high positioning accuracy and low wear even during prolonged operation.
High Rigidity
The block and rail have a circular arc groove shape, allowing them to bear loads from all directions. With a DF structure, they possess excellent error absorption capabilities. By applying pre-load, high rigidity can be achieved.
Easy Maintenance
In sliding guides, it is necessary to constantly form an oil film on the sliding surfaces and to force a large amount of lubricant, which requires time and cost for maintenance. Linear slides only require regular lubrication, making maintenance easy while also maintaining the machine's running accuracy.
High Speed
The block, rail, and balls have a rolling contact structure, resulting in a low coefficient of friction and minimal friction heat generation. The machine can operate with small power, leading to significant energy consumption efficiency, making it more suitable for high-speed motion compared to sliding guides.
