It can be attached between a handheld equatorial mount and a tripod using the included mounting plate. With the built-in semiconductor 9-axis sensor, it can be aligned to the polar axis direction instantly. The backlit LCD display allows for smooth polar alignment even in dark conditions. Overview of the product: ◎ This is an electronic compass that supports polar alignment of portable equatorial mounts during astronomical observation and photography. ◎ It has a built-in 9-axis sensor, allowing for easy and quick setting of the polar axis (North Star direction) of the equatorial mount at the specified latitude. ◎ It is suitable for relatively short exposure astrophotography of star fields and constellations. For long exposure or long focal length photography, precise adjustments using a polar scope or similar device are necessary. ◎ The NS-10 can be attached to the telescope's equatorial mount. Digital Compass for Equatorial Mount POLE FINDER NS-10 GPS - Smooth polar axis alignment even in dark places without seeing the North Star.

This is an electronic compass that supports the alignment of the polar axis of a portable equatorial mount during celestial observation and photography. It has a built-in 9-axis sensor, allowing for easy and quick setting of the polar axis (towards Polaris) at the configured latitude. By using the included GPS module, it can automatically set the magnetic declination and latitude information for the location of use. (The automatically set magnetic declination value is only valid within Japan; manual setting is required overseas.) It is suitable for relatively short exposure astrophotography of star fields and constellations. For long exposures or photography with long focal length lenses, precise adjustments using a polar alignment telescope or similar tools are necessary. The magnetic declination values are based on the information published by the Geospatial Information Authority of Japan in 2020.
