[Case Study 006] Utilizing Insert Molding Technology for Built-in Antennas

"From wire to board" - everything started with a change in perspective.

We would like to introduce a development case of Advanex's "insert molding" for built-in antennas. Back in 2001, mobile phone antennas were pop-up types, but the idea emerged that by integrating the antenna, it would be possible to achieve a more compact design and improve aesthetics. This led to the concept of housing the antenna inside the mobile phone casing to function as an antenna. The insert molding engineer at Advanex proposed a pressing method that takes advantage of a spiral shape, which is favorable for reception.
