Realizing a product lineup full of originality with laser cutting!

Laser-cut acrylic parts are suitable for apparel and POP displays. Compared to machining tools like NC routers, laser processing machines can perform machining with fewer steps, and the finish is very smooth and beautiful. The ability to accommodate various shapes and accurately cut printed displays and lettering to match the print is a unique advantage of lasers. [Comparison of Technologies / Comparison with Milling Machines] ■ Advantages and Benefits of Laser - Smooth cross-section processing is possible without pre-processing and post-processing of materials. - Lasers are non-contact, resulting in low maintenance. ■ Strengths of Trotec - Achieves beautiful cut quality with precise light guidance. - Perfect collaboration of dust collection and deodorization systems, laser light design, and motion control. *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

[Traceability/Case Study] Processing lot numbers of less than 1 millimeter.

A machine equipped with two types of lasers, fiber and CO2, allows for a wide range of processing from marking to cutting.

We would like to introduce a case where our laser processing machine "Speedy 100 flexx" was introduced to A.T.S Co., Ltd., which manufactures automotive parts and LED lighting. The consideration for the introduction was prompted by a request from a client who wanted to switch the production of truck side markers, which had previously been manufactured overseas, to domestic production. The domestic partner company that was newly commissioned for molding only had CO2 laser processing machines, which could only engrave the surface of the white resin, making it impossible to see the small lot numbers. Therefore, we introduced the Trotec flexx type, which is equipped with both fiber and CO2 lasers in one machine. This allowed for clear printing of characters smaller than 1mm, thereby expanding our range of work. 【Case Overview】 ■Challenge: We want to in-house laser marking ■Results - With one machine capable of both marking and cutting, the options for work have increased. - Small lot numbers below 1mm can be clearly printed with the fiber laser. *You can download the PDF or click on the related links below for more details. We also welcome your inquiries.

[OEM Product Manufacturer/Case Study] Product Development Without the Cost of Molds

The introduction of a laser processing machine that can be easily mastered by designers and salespeople has greatly expanded the scope of manufacturing.

We would like to introduce a case study of the introduction of our laser processing machine "Speedy 300" at Bitt Co., Ltd., a manufacturer of miscellaneous goods items. The company was planning and developing OEM products for other companies, designing them, and manufacturing them using molds at cooperating factories in China and domestically. However, this method required expensive mold costs, and it took time and money to create samples for customer proposals. After introducing the Trodat Speedy 300, they switched to on-demand production of goods that do not require molds. Additionally, by using the UV printer and laser processing machine together, they were able to create three-dimensional objects from flat prints, significantly expanding their manufacturing capabilities. 【Case Overview】 ■Challenge: To work on OEM prototypes and the development of in-house products without incurring mold costs. ■Results - They became able to easily create on-demand goods, leading to increased sales. - Sales representatives could create samples, allowing negotiations to proceed more quickly. *You can download the PDF or click on related links below for more details. We also welcome your inquiries.

[Wood Products/Case Study] Easy Wood Color Processing! Expanding Product Range

It enables stable and precise processing, resulting in beautiful finishes even for small characters. With the introduction of lasers, we can take on work that others cannot.

We would like to introduce a case study of the introduction of Trotec's laser processing machine at Toya Woodworking Co., Ltd. The company, which processes various wooden products including Hakone marquetry, introduced the "Speedy 300" (30W) to start engraving text for items such as ryokan signs and room keys. They currently own a total of three machines from the "Speedy series." The key factor for the introduction was that the origin point for processing can be set arbitrarily, eliminating the wait time for the head to move, which has improved workflow. They have received feedback that they can now quickly engrave names on large signs, expanding the range of products they can process. 【Key Factors for Introduction】 ■ The origin point for the head can be set arbitrarily. ■ Designed to protect optical and drive components from gas and dust. ■ The head has a small diameter, allowing for precise processing. *You can download the PDF or click on related links below for more details. We also welcome your inquiries.

[Technical High School/Case Study] Utilizing Lasers for Robot Parts Production

Used for "manufacturing parts for competitive robots" and "cutting out components for educational materials"! Case study of laser processing machine introduction.

At Kyoto Kogakuin High School located in Fushimi Ward, Kyoto City, our laser processing machine "Speedy 300" has been in use since 2013 for mockups, rapid prototyping, PBL learning, and educational materials. Trotec's laser processing machines offer a seamless series of operations from digital mockups to rapid prototyping, without requiring complicated specialized operations. This creates a favorable situation in the educational environment where we are nurturing future engineers, making it a "tool that anyone can use." The quality of the finish in acrylic processing is outstanding, and the exhaust system is robust, which is also helpful as it can process plywood and thick paper. We have received such feedback. 【Reasons for Adoption】 - Outstanding quality of finish in acrylic processing - Robust exhaust system - With just a little instruction, students are able to master the laser processing machine *You can view more details by downloading the PDF below or clicking on the related links. [University/Case Study] Fully utilizing lasers in research and fixture manufacturing at universities!

Quickly create display stands, enclosures, and jigs when using the interface.

At the Kakei Yasuaki Laboratory of the University of Tokyo, a Trotec laser cutter "Speedy 400" was introduced in 2017. The laboratory fully utilizes the laser cutter, which is part of digital fabrication, to research the very nature of manufacturing using this technology, as well as to quickly create display stands and jigs. Activities in the laboratory serve both educational and research purposes, so a key point is how quickly and easily things can be made as ideas arise. We have received feedback expressing great satisfaction with the ability to produce exactly what is needed, when it is needed. [Introduction Overview] ■ Produces minimal odor ■ Absorbs odors ■ Can be used without stress and has not experienced major breakdowns ■ In a situation where we can produce as much as needed, when needed *You can view more details by downloading the PDF below or clicking on the related links. We also welcome inquiries.

[University/Department of Architecture/Case Study] Utilizing Laser in the Production of Architectural Models

Students use parts production for architectural model making! Case study on the introduction of a laser processing machine.

In April 2022, Otemon Gakuin University established a new major in the Faculty of Literature called "Aesthetics and Architectural Culture," utilizing the Trotec laser cutter "Speedy 400" for the production of architectural models. The laser is primarily used for cutting model materials such as wood and paper, and its advantage lies in the ability to cut multiple small accessories (miniature-sized people, plants, furniture, etc. that accompany the model) at once. Additionally, the laser software "Ruby" is standardly equipped, allowing for direct import of graphic data, which enables speedy processing of parts. By simply converting hand-drawn designs into PDF format and importing them, laser processing can be easily done, resulting in immediate shapes. Compared to graphic software like Illustrator, costs can be kept low, leading to cost savings, as we have received feedback. 【Key Factors for Adoption】 ■ Ability to cut multiple small accessories at once ■ High performance of the dust collection and deodorization system, allowing for safe use in front of students ■ Capability to laser cut precisely along hand-drawn lines *You can download the PDF or click on related links below for more details. We also welcome your inquiries.
