The introduction was due to the desire for a clear facility such as a private nursing room.
A case where inquiries from staff regarding breastfeeding have nearly disappeared!
We would like to introduce a case study of the implementation of "mamaro" at Kasama Inari Shrine in Ibaraki Prefecture. Before the implementation, the style was to allow those who inquired to use the available waiting room for worshippers, but there were many challenges, such as whether staff should wait in front of the room and how to address hygiene concerns. After the implementation, inquiries from staff regarding breastfeeding significantly decreased. Additionally, we received feedback that the number of visitors during the New Year's shrine visit was unexpectedly high, which was a pleasant surprise. [Case Overview] ■ Challenges - Reduce inquiries from staff regarding "breastfeeding room" - Avoid providing the worship room as a breastfeeding room ■ Effects - The presence of a breastfeeding room became clear, making it easier to visit the shrine - Decrease in inquiries from staff regarding "breastfeeding room" *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
