Identification of natural components by GCMS

Focusing on sandalwood (byakudan), which is used as a raw material for incense! Here is an example of component analysis using GC-MS.

Due to the risk of depletion of natural ingredients, artificially synthesized alternative components may be used, and their identification is suitable through separation and analysis methods such as GCMS. This time, we focused on sandalwood (Byakudan), which is used as a raw material for incense. We tested whether the components of sandalwood could be detected in two types of incense (A and B) with sandalwood scent. In incense A, santanol was detected, whereas in incense B, santanol was not detected, and another aromatic component was found. Among these, bugdanol is a type of synthetic fragrance, and due to its structural characteristics, it is believed to have a sandalwood-like scent. [Components of Incense A] ■ Bugdanol: Trace amount ■ Cedrol: None ■ α-Santalol: Present ■ β-Santalol: Present *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Harnessing the power of fragrance.

People gather where there is a pleasant fragrance. If you're going to use a facility, it should have a lovely scent.

The differences in impression and purchasing intent between spaces with and without fragrance are evidenced by successful implementations in hotels and casinos. The sense of smell is the only one of the five senses that directly stimulates the right brain. Regardless of age or gender, users can sensitively perceive the "smell" or "odor" of a space the moment they step into it, unconsciously making a judgment of "good" or "bad." In spaces with a "pleasant fragrance," the value of the brand (facility, store, product) is undoubtedly enhanced, promoting smoother purchasing activities. [Reasons for Selection] - Uses fragrance and systems that prioritize safety - Offers a selection of scents from over 200 variations - Powerful and high cost-performance - No daily operational burden, with minimal maintenance required *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
