What is "plastic processing" and what are the types of "plastic processing"?

Methods of processing metal by forging and pressing! Introducing types of plastic processing.

"Plastic processing" refers to the method of shaping materials into desired forms and dimensions by utilizing the property of plasticity. Plasticity includes ductility and malleability, where ductility is the property of stretching when pulled, and malleability is the property of spreading when force is applied. "Forging" is a processing method that shapes metal by hammering, while "extrusion" is a processing method that shapes materials by pressing them against a mold with a hole to achieve the desired shape. [Types of Plastic Processing] ■ Forging ■ Extrusion ■ Pressing *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

High freedom, low cost, and high quality! Hot forging processing / cold forging processing.

Hot forging: Low deformation resistance, allowing for the forging of complex-shaped parts! Cold forging: Reduces material loss, shortens processing time, and enables cost reduction.

■Hot Forging A processing method where metal is heated and softened before being compressed and formed, resulting in low deformation resistance and the ability to forge complex-shaped parts. Compared to other forging methods, it offers the highest degree of freedom, allowing us to provide inexpensive and high-quality products. ■Cold Forging A processing method where metal is compressed and formed at room temperature, allowing for the production of products with higher precision compared to hot forging. It reduces material loss compared to cutting processes, shortens processing time, and enables cost reduction of the processed products. We provide high-quality products even for complex shapes. 【Manufacturing Examples】 ■Driven Gear Forging ■Materials: SS, SC, SK, SCM, SKS, CRV ■Processing Accuracy: Forging only ±0.1mm ■Surface Treatment: Shot blast finishing, etc. * We can propose surface treatments according to your requirements. * For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

The difference between swaging and radial forging.

Introducing radial forging equipment! We will contribute to your solutions with specification proposals.

We will introduce the differences between swaging and radial forging. Swaging is a processing method that reduces round bars or circular pipes to a desired diameter, also known as rotary cold forging. Radial forging is a processing method that applies force from the radial direction of a hollow shaft using a hammer (die) to induce plastic deformation. At Tsuzuki Seisakusho, we have introduced radial forging equipment to address our customers' challenges. **Features of Radial Forging** - Forging is possible even for thick shafts or shaft shapes with flanges. - Partial warm processing allows for increasing thickness (upsetting) only at the ends. - Areas requiring precision, such as inner diameter splines, can be forged cold. - There is no need to arrange multiple pieces of equipment as with swaging. - Setup time is minimal, and it can accommodate multiple models. *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.*
