Our VISLON® zippers for fishing nets are available in sizes No.10 to No.30. For size No.30, which can be used when the zipper element comes off, we also provide repair elements. ◆ Background of Adoption for Fixed Nets Fixed nets are a fishing method where nets are set up in areas where fish migrate for a certain period to catch the guided fish. The fixed nets used for salmon and trout fishing are installed about 4 to 5 km upstream from the river mouth, extending 1 km in length and 20 to 50 m in width, and these nets are also equipped with zippers. ◆ Key Points for Problem Solving (How Fastening Helped) Traditionally, the ends of fishing nets were all secured with ropes, requiring the ropes to be removed and tied again during the catch, which posed a challenge for efficient harvesting methods. Additionally, the conditions at construction sites (such as underwater visibility, current speed, water temperature, etc.) impact the efficiency in terms of construction period, cost, and safety. There are challenges such as the removal of debris that occurs after the materials used underwater are removed, difficult tasks like deformation repairs, and high maintenance costs even when materials are reused. ◆Key Points for Problem Solving Traditionally, the assembly method of liner plates for temporary closure by divers was common, but the new method covers the outside of pre-assembled plates with a waterproof sheet utilizing the waterproof fastener AQUASEAL(R). This allows for segmented construction, significantly reducing the underwater work performed by divers. The reduction in underwater construction processes, improved economic efficiency through the reuse of plates, and enhanced safety by reducing the risk of decompression sickness have led to approximately a 20% reduction in construction costs and project duration.

This is a plastic fastener made using extrusion molding technology.

"Majirock" has an engagement force (stickiness) that is about 2 to 3 times that of standard fabric hook-and-loop fasteners. Introducing "Velcro" that can be used at higher temperature ranges than standard types and is flame-retardant!

We would like to introduce our heat-resistant "Velcro" type. This product is a hook-and-loop fastener with high heat resistance, utilizing PPS fibers in almost all the threads of the hook part, loop part, and base fabric part. Even after being left in a high-temperature environment (250°C) for 24 hours, the engagement strength (shear strength) retains over 80%.
