"Yasaka" is a yarn made from naturally derived cellulose fiber, cupro, which is dyed using a pre-dyeing method. It is made from cotton linter (short fibers that cover the seeds of cotton plants). Cupro has a uniform thickness and a shape close to a perfect circle, giving it a smooth texture and luster similar to silk. The absence of excess membranes on the outer fiber and the presence of fine holes like a sponge make it excellent in moisture absorption and release, and it is also less prone to static electricity, which is one of its appealing features. *The cupro we handle refers to Bemberg, which is a trademark registered by Asahi Kasei. "Yasaka" is dyed using a dyeing method called skein dyeing*, which preserves the softness and texture of the material. *This method involves taking the yarn in a loop shape and applying dye simultaneously from the outside and inside. It is evaluated by our business partners as being safe to use because it is less likely to produce dye unevenness.
