On November 1, 2024, I participated in the Optical Thin Film Research Meeting held at the Tokyo: Machine Industry Promotion Hall. This time, we moved from the usual basement level 2 to the 6th floor, which is a large venue with two screens, making it very easy to see and hear. The Optical Thin Film Research Meeting was established in 2011. It has two main objectives: 1) To revitalize the field of optical thin films in Japan. 2) To advance standardization efforts related to optical thin films and protect Japan's national interests.
