The pump is fundamentally composed of interchangeable modules, designed to enable uninterrupted operation for any application. It is a direct drive type with a mechanical shaft seal equipped. CM pumps are available in either cast iron or stainless steel. (AISI 304/DIN 1.4301 stainless steel is suitable for water and non-corrosive liquids, while AISI 316/DIN 1.4401 stainless steel offers superior corrosion resistance for corrosive liquids.)
