APE Corporation femtosecond/picosecond optical parametric oscillator (OPO)
APE's Levante / Levante Emerald
A mode-locked picosecond Nd:YVO4 laser is optimized as an excitation light source for a synchronously pumped OPO to obtain high output and narrow linewidth picosecond light pulses.
The optical parametric oscillator (OPO), Levante, and Levante-Emerald use the second harmonic of a mode-locked Nd:YVO4 laser as an excitation light source, making them optimal light sources for obtaining high-output, narrow-linewidth femtosecond and picosecond pulses in the visible to near-infrared range. They can continuously tune wavelengths in the near-infrared range (680-2300nm), making them ideal light sources for experiments requiring multi-wavelength excitation, such as CARS microscopy (532nm excitation). The control software has been renewed to enable fully automated control, and wavelength tuning has become easy.

Applications/Examples of results
Levante-Emerald uses the second harmonic of a mode-locked Nd:YVO4 laser as an excitation light source, making it ideal for multi-wavelength excitation experiments such as CARS microscopy and Raman spectroscopy with a continuously tunable wavelength in the visible to near-infrared range. Additionally, its narrow spectral linewidth is optimal for imaging.
