Doctor blades used for pad printing (also known as pad printing or tampo printing). Special Abe Printing Company offers four types of doctor blades. Please choose the blade that suits your usage conditions. Sample products are also available. 【Parallel Blade t=0.3mm】 Material: Steel (SK) There is no variation in blade thickness due to wear, allowing for stable scraping. (See image) The scraping pressure is weaker compared to the triangular blade, but it allows for stable printing over long periods. It is also suitable for those who want to use the plate for a long time or for use with resin plates. 【Triangular Blade t=0.3mm】 Material: Steel (SK) It can scrape with stronger force compared to the parallel blade. It is suitable for cases where quick startup is needed or for printing large-sized plates. 【Triangular Blade t=0.5mm】 Material: Steel (SK) It can scrape with even stronger force than the 0.3t thick blade. It is suitable for cases where quick startup is desired or for printing large-sized plates. 【Triangular Blade t=0.9mm】 Material: SUS The blade's deflection is minimized, allowing for uniform scraping with less force. It is suitable for solid printing, high-viscosity inks, and printing large-sized plates.

**About the Differences in Blade Tip Shapes** The difference between triangular blades and parallel blades is similar to the difference between pencils and mechanical pencils. Triangular blades are overwhelmingly used for doctor blades in pad printing. The advantage of triangular blades is that they can apply stronger scraping pressure, but the disadvantage is that changes in scraping pressure due to blade tip wear can occur easily, and they tend to cause more damage to the plate. In contrast, parallel blades experience very little change in scraping pressure due to blade tip wear, making them stable for long periods. If the plate size is around 100 to 200, we recommend using parallel blades. They extend the lifespan of the plate and make setup much easier. **Solve Troubles with the t=0.9 Blade!** If you are having trouble with uneven solid printing, interference between the design and the blade direction, or persistent pinholes and whiskers, please give the t0.9 blade a try. Compared to other thin blades, it is overwhelmingly less prone to bending, which can help resolve the issues mentioned above.
