By integrating neighboring data and on-site surveys, we identify the supporting layers of small-scale steel buildings. This prevents excessive design and achieves economical and safe optimization of pile lengths.

In low to mid-rise steel buildings constructed on narrow sites, there are site-specific challenges such as the proximity of adjacent buildings and restrictions on the width of the front road, making it difficult to bring in standard large boring survey machinery and accurately grasp the inclination of the supporting layer. GeoTech addresses this issue fundamentally by integrating the analysis of neighboring data from its extensive geotechnical information database "GEODAS," accumulated mainly in the metropolitan area, with precise on-site surveys using small self-propelled machines. By analyzing existing boring column diagrams and N-value distributions around the planned site from multiple perspectives in advance, we can accurately predict the inclination trends and continuity of the supporting layer. On-site, we conduct optimal sounding tests tailored to site constraints to obtain actual physical data. By precisely correlating and cross-referencing both sets of data, we can clearly identify complex layer thickness variations and the depths of local supporting layers, allowing us to calculate the shortest optimal pile length without excess. This not only significantly reduces material and construction costs by eliminating unnecessary pile length but also ensures the required allowable bearing capacity for the structure. We provide a consistent response from survey proposals to structural calculations, offering optimal foundation solutions that achieve a high level of safety and cost-effectiveness.
