A serious and practical proposal for "flood prevention measures"!

In recent years, there has been an increasing trend of intensified disasters such as typhoons. The Typhoon No. 19 in 2019 caused flooding in the underground electrical facilities of a tower mansion, leading to a prolonged disruption of infrastructure, which became a significant social issue. Since then, the flood prevention guidelines proposed by the national and local governments have recommended waterproofing measures for underground power supply facilities and entry points as essential. "Pipe-in-Sleeve (abbreviated as PIS)" involves waterproofing PVC sleeves and FEP pipes at the factory and prefabricating them, ensuring the sound waterproof performance of buildings while simplifying on-site work and contributing to shorter construction periods. 【Flood Prevention: Suggested Facilities】 * Public facilities (city halls, ward offices, police stations, libraries, etc.) * Hospitals and welfare facilities * Residential facilities (high-rise and medium/small scale apartments, etc.) * Transportation infrastructure facilities (railways, airports, highways, etc.) 【Flood Prevention: Suggested Applications】 * Underground beams/exterior wall penetration (underground penetration/power cable entry) <Implementation Effects> * Improved stable waterproof performance of buildings * Labor saving (reduction of worker burden) * Shortened construction period * For details, please request a catalog via "Contact Us" or view the PDF data from "Download."

Eflex (or flame-retardant Eflex) - Sealing material: Curing waterproof material filled in 2 locations 'Why is the waterproof performance of the pipe-in-sleeve set to "3 days"?' ◆ Local governments state that "the flooding depth due to floods is 1 to 3 meters, and the duration of flooding is generally half a day to 1 day, but it may last from 1 to 3 days depending on the location." ◆ Emergency power supply systems in hospitals and other facilities are recommended to operate continuously for "more than 72 hours (3 days)" according to laws and guidelines. ◆ The time until the restoration of lifelines during a disaster and the supply system for relief supplies is assumed to be 72 hours. ◆ Time limit for rescue operations: The time during which the survival rate significantly decreases for rescues from collapsed buildings is within "72 hours (the golden 72 hours)."
