Case study of D-board construction method for non-combustible interior walls using 3M TM Di-Noc TM film and D-Lite.
The D-Lite D Board method involves manufacturing D-Lite wrapped with 3M TM Di-Noc TM film at the factory, and then installing it on-site as a non-combustible decorative panel with necessary processing. In this case, a contractor with experience in installing interior bath panels in residential settings took on this method for the first time, completing the installation of approximately 15m² of corridor wall in the office with a team of five in one day. D-Lite is lightweight and easy to handle like wood, and can be easily processed with common tools such as circular saws, hand saws, cutters, and sandpaper, making on-site size adjustments and fitting straightforward. In addition to the uniform and beautiful finish characteristic of factory production, the cross joints are also easy to achieve sharply, and it was evaluated by the construction team that even those without experience could install it without issues, and that it is lightweight and less burdensome.
