High-precision point cloud measurement using a drone - LiDAR sensor for Matrice 400.
The Zenmuse L3 is a high-performance LiDAR sensor for drones. It has evolved further than the Zenmuse L1 and L2. It enables a wide range of operations, including measuring complex terrains that are difficult to assess with fixed lasers and terrains within forests that cannot be measured using SfM from aerial photographs. Connected to the drone via a 3-axis gimbal, it allows for accurate vertical measurements regardless of the drone's orientation. There are three return modes available during measurement: 4, 8, and 16, which can be changed during operation. Additionally, it comes standard with an RGB camera capable of up to 100 million pixels, allowing for the creation of simple orthophotos and coloring of point clouds.
