The Song Meter Mini Bat 2 is an ultra-compact bioacoustic recorder designed to record the ultrasonic calls (bat calls) emitted by bats over long periods. Among the Song Meter series from Wildlife Acoustics, its lightweight and compact design makes it easy to install, making it suitable for bat survey projects that require deployment at multiple locations. With an IP67 waterproof housing, it can be installed outdoors for extended periods and supports smartphone configuration via Bluetooth. The recorded data is saved in WAV format and can be analyzed using bat analysis software. There are two power options: a model that uses AA batteries and a model with a built-in lithium-ion battery, allowing selection based on survey duration and operational conditions.
