The electrical systems on ships, particularly environments where a DC24V battery serves as the main power source, are subjected to voltage fluctuations that are far more intense than those experienced with stable commercial power sources on land. The input voltage in a DC24V battery system dynamically changes depending on the operating status of the engine. • When the engine is off: Power is supplied solely from the battery, and the voltage drops below 25.0V (further decreases in a discharged state). • When the engine is running (during alternator operation): Charging from the generator adds to the voltage, reaching a recommended high voltage of 27.6V to 29.4V. Conventional general LED lighting has a fixed number of LEDs connected in series, and when the input voltage rises, the heat generated in the power supply circuit increases sharply. This thermal damage has been the primary factor accelerating the deterioration of electronic components. The patented technology known as the "Variable LED Lighting Circuit" (Patent Application No. 2025-40973) fundamentally addresses this thermal issue. This technology detects voltage fluctuations in the battery and automatically switches the number of LEDs lit in series during voltage increases, thereby preventing excessive load on the power supply circuit and significantly reducing internal heat generation.
