"U-Paste II" is a lithium nitrite-based polymer cement paste rust prevention material that mixes cement powder, lithium nitrite aqueous solution, and water. By applying it directly to rebar, the nitrite ions (NO2-) in the U-LN40 solution react with iron ions (Fe2+) to regenerate a passive film, suppressing the occurrence and progression of rust. When applied to a concrete substrate, the lithium ions (Li+) in the U-LN40 solution penetrate into the concrete, allowing for the expected "alkali recovery" of carbonated concrete.
