The world's first BMS equipped with fire extinguishing functions fundamentally solves the risk of battery fires.
KOREA LFP has developed the "SBMS (Smart safe Battery Management System)," which integrates fire extinguishing functions into existing battery management systems (BMS). This is the world's first technology that won an innovation award at CES 2025. SBMS responds early to the thermal runaway and fire risks of lithium batteries, protecting the safety of humanity and society. It features real-time temperature monitoring, rapid cooling during a fire (-78°C), and complete extinguishing capabilities through oxygen removal, while also ensuring voltage stability. It significantly enhances safety and reliability in EVs, ESS, and UPS systems, and contributes to resource recycling with its environmentally friendly design.
