We would like to introduce a case of leak prevention work in the Tonen Tunnel located in Tsuruga City, Fukui Prefecture, carried out by "Men-dousui Engineering." Due to corrosion of the existing galvanized steel plates (SI boards), their removal led to water leakage from the walls, which could potentially affect the surrounding healthy SI boards, necessitating new leak prevention measures. An arch roofing was installed to match the thickness of the existing SI boards, and caulking was applied at the joints to ensure water diversion. This also improved the appearance.
