This is an introduction to a case of leak prevention work conducted by "line-guided waterworks" at the Minotani Tunnel in Kamikawa Town, Hyogo Prefecture. Water leakage was occurring from the walls of the unlined shotcrete tunnel, causing dripping onto the road, which was a problem. By installing a shield drain at the leak points of the shotcrete tunnel, we were able to prevent the leakage, ensuring that dripping water no longer affected passing vehicles and pedestrians.
