[Exhibition Hall Wi-Fi Implementation Case] Okayama Prefectural General Exhibition Hall Convex Okayama
Implementation of a cloud-based network device management service to provide Wi-Fi services at exhibition venues and improve operational efficiency.
The Convex Okayama, a comprehensive exhibition hall located in the Kita Ward of Okayama City, introduced D-Link's cloud-managed network equipment in March 2025. Initially, they began trialing Wi-Fi services in the large exhibition hall. The products introduced include the UTM firewall "DBG-2000," the L2 smart switch "DBS-2000 series," and the Wi-Fi 6 compatible wireless access point "DBA-X2830P," all of which can be managed via the cloud. Due to the aging of existing network equipment and in response to requests from exhibitors for Wi-Fi services, the introduction of Wi-Fi was also carried out. We spoke with the person in charge to find out what changes this introduction has brought about. [POINT] - Achieved increased maintenance efficiency with the introduction of cloud-managed products - The decisive factor for the introduction was the sufficient functionality and higher cost performance compared to other products under consideration - By providing new Wi-Fi services at the exhibition hall, they achieved an increase in added value.
