Drone Flight Log Manager

Legislation for the recording and carrying of specific flights.

This app is a software application that allows for easy creation and management of flight logs for unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) that are mandated by law. It supports the recording and carrying of "flight logs," which became mandatory due to amendments to the Aviation Law and its enforcement regulations in December 2022. By utilizing this app, users can eliminate the hassle of managing paper records and can view, edit, save, and print (output as PDF files) their records anytime through their smartphones. A "flight log" is required to be recorded and carried when flying a drone in airspace and methods that require permission or approval from the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (specific flights). This requirement has been in effect since the amendments to the Aviation Law and its enforcement regulations in December 2022. If a flight log is not carried during a specific flight, or if it is not filled out or contains false information, a fine of up to 100,000 yen may be imposed under the Aviation Law. The contents that must be recorded and carried include three types: "flight records," "daily inspection records," and "maintenance records," collectively referred to as "flight logs." Recording and carrying these logs in electronic media, such as smartphone apps, is permitted. It is available for purchase on the Google Play Store.
